Description
I have been studying the recent market before deciding to sell my fantastic UK Original Led Zeppelin 1 and have decided to offer for auction but with a Buy It Now option to avoid the usual bidding frenzy which arises when one of these ultra rare LPs appears for sale.
The December 2011 Record Collector magazine lists this cover as one of the top 21 super rare sleeves of all time stating that a copy recently saying sold for £2,200! Within the last 2 weeks a copy sold on this auction site for over £700 but had writing on the labels and inside the sleeve and had the later pressings corrected matrixes. So I think I have pitched this copy at a fair Buy it Now price for a quick sale or I will see how high it goes if nobody presses the Buy it Now button!

ORIGINAL UK FIRST OFF THE PRESS UNCORRECTED MATRIXES (NO added "8" or scratched off numbers!)
Side 1 Good Times Bad Times Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, You Shook Me, Dazed and Confused
Side 2 Your Time Is Gonna Come, Black Mountain, Communication Breakdown, I Can't Quit You Baby, and How Many More Times.
Musicians : Robert Plant - Vocals, Jimmy Page - Guitar, John Paul Jones - Bass, and John Bonham - Drums.

Stunning condition considering 42 years old with light hairlines only visible under bright light - Nice bright, clean and shiny thick quality 1st press vinyl both sides which play well. In recent years the vinyl has been stored within a Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Anti Static Inner Sleeve to further protect it when being removed from the outer sleeve. The original inner sleeve will of course be also be sent to the winning bidder. Overall the vinyl is at least Very Good++ although I'm sure some would grade as EX
Sleeve :
Original UK 1969 1st press MacNeill fully laminated "Turquoise" sleeve with original (1st Press) grey line to bottom complete with original inner!!! Hard to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - NO writing, NO marks AT ALL NO splits, and still strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has some minimal signs of ageing and some slight creasing to laminate towards rear of Zeppelin on front. Must grade overall as at the least Very Good++ although I'm sure some would grade as EX

Original Polydor UK red & plum classic Atlantic "Superhype" labels. Both labels are in fantastic condition with NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has a few light spindle marks from general light use over the years!!! BRILLIANT for a 42 year old record!!! Both must grade overall at least as EX EX !!!
