1969 FILLMORE WEST POSTER

(this is not a reproduction but an original 1969 poster)

This is an original 1969 poster advertising the bands that were on at Bill Graham's Fillmore West concert hall in San Francisco on January 9, 10 & 11. Featured were headliners 'Country Joe and the Fish' supported by 'Led Zeppelin' who were on their first tour of the USA. Other acts included 'Taj Mahal' and 'Brotherhood of Light'.

This original 1969 poster measures 14" x 21 1/2" and was manufactured on thick card - the later 2010 limited edition (of 500) re-pressing of this poster, from the Bill Graham Archives, is much larger (24" x 37"), was pressed on thin paper and had "Wolfgang's Vault" in the lower right-hand margin. So it is easy to tell the difference between this original and the re-pressing.

The condition of the poster is very good considering that it is now 45 years old. There are no writings or doodles and no blu-tak or sellotape marks. There are two creases where the poster was originally folded and some edge wear; and the rear has some minor staining - see photos. This is a remarkable piece of Led Zep history and you are unlikely to find another original poster of this landmark concert again.
