Physical Graffiti is the sixth album, a double album by the English hard rock band Led Zeppelin. It was released on February 24, 1975 and was the band's first release on its own Swan Song Records label.

The recording sessions for Physical Graffiti took place in January and February 1974 at Headley Grange in East Hampshire, England. Several of the songs on the album, however, were recorded during the sessions for previous Led Zeppelin albums. The instrumental "Bron-Yr-Aur" was recorded in July 1970 at Island Studios, London, for Led Zeppelin II. "Night Flight" and "Boogie with Stu" were recorded at Headley Grange and "Down by the Seaside" at Island Studios, all for Led Zeppelin IV. "The Rover" and "Black Country Woman" were recorded at the same sessions as "D'yer Mak'er" at Stargroves using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in May 1972. "Houses of the Holy" was also recorded in May 1972, but at Olympic Studios. The group's fifth album Houses of the Holy took its title from this song, despite the decision not to include the song on that album.

The remaining eight songs were all recorded during the sessions for Physical Graffiti in early 1974. Additional overdubs were added and the final mixing was performed in October 1974 by Keith Harwood.

THE ALBUM COVER!!!!

The original album jacket for the LP included die-cut windows on the building shown on the cover. As the inner sleeves for the discs were inserted in different orientations, various objects and people would appear in the windows, including photos of the band members in drag. The two buildings photographed for the album cover are located at 96 and 98 St. Mark's Place in New York City These are the same buildings Mick JaggEr is in front of in the Rolling Stones music video "Waiting on a Friend".!!!!!

THIS IS AN UNBELIEVABLY RARE VERY 1ST UK PRESSING RARELY EVER SEEN IN THIS AWESOME CONDITION ON THE ORIGINAL 'SWAN SONG' LABEL WITH MATRIXES ENDING -A -B -C -D (ONLY 1ST PRESSINGS) AND RARELY SEEN!!!! BOTH VINYLS ARE ABSOLUTELY SUPERBE AND LOOK TOTALLY UNPLAYED!!!! THIRTY THREE YEARS OLD! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! (NO) SCRATCHES ON BOTH VINYLS NEAR PRISTINE!!!!!! EARLIEST 1ST PRESS NEVER SEEN LIKE THIS!!!!! (NEVER NEED TO UPGRADE FROM THESE VINYLS)

THESE IS PRESSINGS ARE RARELY SEEN ESPECIALLY LIKE THIS ONE THERE ARE MANY CHARACTORISTICS WHICH ARE DIFFERENT ON THESE EARLY PRESSINGS THAN LATER PRESSINGS!!! FOR EXAMPLE!!!!!! THESE EARLY 1ST PRESSINGS HAVE THE MATRIX ENDINS -A -B -C -D THE OTHER IMPORTANT THING IS THESE FEATURE MADE IN THE UK ON THE LABELS LATER PRESS DIDN'T!!!! THE COVER IS OF A THICKER CARD BOX MATERIAL THAN LATER PRESSINGS WITH TEXTURED ON THE INSIDE AND SMOOTH ON THE OUTSIDE (ONLY 1ST PRESS) THE OTHER VERY IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THESE EARLY PRESSINGS ARE THE WRITING ON THE REAR OF THE COVER WHICH ARE DIFFERENT TO LATER PRESSINGS (THESE 1ST PRESS COVERS ARE UK PRINTED) LATER COVERS ARE GERMAN COVERS!!!! OFTEN PERSEIVED ON EBAY AS 1ST PRESS COVERS WHEN IN FACT THEY ARN'T!!!!!!(SEE PHOTO) THE OTHER IMPORTANT THING ABOUT THIS 1ST PRESS IS THE INSERTS!!! THE ORIGINAL FOLDED WHITE INSERT IS OF A MUCH THICKER CARD THAN LATER PRESS AND IS SMOOTH ON THE OUTSIDE AND TEXTURED ON THE INSIDE!!!!(ONLY 1ST PRESS) !!!!ALSO THE TWO ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS  RECORD SLEEVES ARE OF THICKER CARD MATERIAL SMOOTH ON THE OUTSIDE AND TEXTURED ON THE INSIDE!!! ANY POSSIBLE MARKS THAT COULD BE SEEN IN STRONG LIGHT COULD ONLY BE CAUSED BY THE VINYLS BEEN SLID IN AND OUT OF THEIR SLEEVES!!!!!
