GRADINGS (GOLDMINE)

VINYL (Visual)

Side 1 - NEAR MINT
Side 2 - NEAR MINT
Side 3 - NEAR MINT
Side 4 - NEAR MINT

Each side looks factory fresh, glossy and beautiful
Subtle imperfection(s) only visible under intense white light
Strongly graded at Near Mint (nearly immaculate)
All sides graded equally

VINYL (Audio)

Side 1 - NEAR MINT
Side 2 - NEAR MINT
Side 3 - NEAR MINT
Side 4 - NEAR MINT

Side 1 was tested 3 times, Sides 2, 3 and 4 (4 times). This was done so that each side had a total of 4 plays each (OCD related). My dad played side 1 (once) and didnt enjoy it. He never got round to playing the other sides...and put it into storage.

This has got to be one of the hottest pressings I've heard from this period. They really did go crazy with production on this one. Instruments pop out, guitars, drums and vocals are well defined, bright, airy and liquid. The drums thump...really thump with a depth and presence not often heard. These are the true hallmarks of a UK 1ST pressing in unplayed condition. I did not hear any faults in the pressings other than background static (Side 1 intro and gaps between songs). I felt that Sides 2, 3 and 4 played with marginally less background noise (in line with general consensus). I certainly didn't hear any clicking, pops or other weirdness that would make me think something was wrong. If you have any questions or require more information...please don't hesitate to contact me.

ORIGINAL BOX SLEEVE

VG+ (mininal surface wear, corners slightly rounded, spines intact and not squashed)

The outer cover is of a top loading ‘box’ construction of thick ridged card with the following text printed on the back, top centre: SWAN SONG / 484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10 - Cullderstead Ltd., trading as Swan Song - A Swan Song/Atlantic recording distributed by WEA Records Ltd. & © 1975. The group name, record title and catalogue number run down the left hand side spine, viewed from the front, these are printed in RED.

INNER SLIP COVER

NEAR MINT (very light rounding in the top four corners, rest of the surface is clean)

The gatefold ‘slip’ insert credits “Gothic Print Finishers Ltd., London SE9 2EQ” as the printers, along with the Swan Song SSK 89400 catalogue number and the address “SWAN SONG, 484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10"

INNER SLEEVES

NEAR MINT (very light rounding in the top four corners, rest of the surface is clean)

The Inner sleeves are printed on thick card with a natural untreated grey finish to the inside surfaces. They have SSK 89400/A and SSK 89400/B respectively on the back (bottom right corner) of each of the inners. Later issues were thinner card with a smooth finish to the inside

BIDDERS

Over the past few months I've been hit by a number of low feedback/private members. Non payments and no communication.

For that reason, I will not accept any bids from people with less than 10 feedback. Its not worth the risk for me...and puts legitimate bidders off my items.

Thanks for taking an interest.

Goodluck :)
