All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if successful.
These records are in excellent condition. There are a few light spindle marks visible on the labels but not loads. There are no pen marks, scuffs, fading or any of them and no other serious issues. Overall the labels are in great shape and also have nice tight centres.
As for the vinyl itself, all sides are free from anything serious. Record 1 is very clean indeed with just a couple of very light lines visible. Record 2 is also free from anything remotely sinister but has a few more light lines than record 1. Both records do have incredibly light wispy lines evident when viewed under very bright light, but again nothing sinister. Overall I am confident of an EX visual grading for both records, as they have just a few very light lines, a vivid gloss and no serious issues to the labels.
I play tested both the records and they both played really well. Side 1 lays flat has little movement in the arm and sounds excellent with only a very minor trace of interference audible between tracks and in the run in. There are no serious issues such as skips, sticks or clicks and the whole side was very enjoyable with excellent audio. Side 2 is similar, with the majority excellent and with just a trace of static in between songs. However there is noticeable sideways movement in the record arm on this side. This doesn't seem to cause any noticeable affect to the audio, which is as I say excellent. There is though some distortion(not to the vocals, but the backing music) in Kashmir. I don't think this is caused by the arm movement but could well be the cut/or recording on the record. The whole side is still enjoyable however despite this issue and the visual arm movement.
Sides 3 and 4 play in a similar fashion to side 1 with just very light interference in between tracks and in the near silent sections. There is again some slight sideways movement noticeable on side 3 however, but not to any severe level and also much less than side 2.
So overall al four sides play well with no clicks, pops, sticks, skips or major interference problems. The only thing to report would be the very light interference between tracks and occasionally in some very, very quiet sections and also the strange backing distortion to parts of Kashmir. Overall I would still be confident of an EX grade audibly and I enjoyed the whole play test, despite being confused for parts of Kashmir!
The sleeve is in very good condition. It has wear to the edges and corners(pics), which is mainly in one place at the top of the front left top corner area. This has caused a 3" split down from the top corner and there is also evidence there has been taping in an attempted repair. So other than this split and wear to this area the sleeve shows only light rubbing to the edges with no further splits or weak areas. There are no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere and all the windows are sharp and free from 'dents' or 'dings'. There is no real fading anywhere and no ring marks visible but there is some light creasing again towards the front top left corner area.
So overall a solid sleeve but which has the split as its main issue. Other than this it is the light creasing and mild edge rubbing but no really major problems.
It contains both its original picture inners which are both in excellent condition. These both have no splits, tears or pen marks anywhere and next to no creasing. The also have a similar amount of edge wear which is mild, and despite showing in a few areas has created no splits and no weak areas.
Also included is its original fold out insert which is in very good+ condition with no tears, pen marks or severe creasing. There is however some age related discolouring to parts, especially the white areas and around the edges.
Please study the pictures provided to get as much information as possible and gain a better understanding of the sleeves condition.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
