Although 1/5/1/1 Matrices, the album has no Warner Bros reference on the rims (attributed to1st Pressings only) and contains the rarest single fold satin insert very rarely found in 2nd pressings. It is therefore thought to be a transition from 1st to 2nd or very early 2nd press. See Discogs research below.

'First pressing has labels without Warner logo (W) on rim text and vinyl matrix ending with 1/4/1/1.
The original die-cut "windows" cover has "SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10" address at the top on back.
The set contains two custom inners with code "SSK 89400/A" for disc 1 and "SSK 89400/B" for disc 2 on bottom right back corner, plus a 2-page folded insert that has songs titles, credits, and text "Sleeve printed and made in England by Gothic Print Finishers Ltd., London SE9 2EQ".
Original cover & inners are smooth on the outside and textured/rough on the inside.
However, the Insert has 3 different types - all used throughout the 1st Pressing run:-
Insert - Satin finish to front and back, thick in quality, with a SINGLE fold to the bottom as in the detailed photo (not to be confused with the later re-issue inserts from the late 70s which are shiny, very thin, and have 2 folds). This is the rarest insert type, and existed on the first few copies only - as identified by the different shines to the colours under light (current to the printing processes available in 1975), satin finish and SINGLE fold. Found on the 1st Press 1/4/1/1 copies, and in some 2nd Press 1/5/1/1 copies'.

A. Vinyl Appearance: VG+/EX : The discs have nice glossy black lustre and no scratches. Disc 1 has some faint rubbing and hairlines from paper sleeve scuffing under strong light, VG+. Disc 2 is EX, only faint hairlines in strong light - See Pics 

B. Random Sound Test* : EX+/EX+: Our test sections played very impressively with full deep audio fidelity. No distortion whatsoever. Soft static can be heard between tracks and very quiet sections. A lovely copy for playing.  - See Pics

Cover/Inners: VG/EX : Outer die cut Cover is flat and presentable, but the edges and spine are badly scuffed, hence VG rating. All the inners are EX, fresh and flat with no obvious flaws  - See Pics

Grading & Valuation

Our Grading Guarantee explained:

We Grade your record carefully following the Record Collector Guide using many years of experience. However, grading is ultimately subjective and despite being very strict, we may not always please everyone. Please do not leave negative feedback if you are not fully satisfied. We offer a full No Quibble Return, Swap or Refund and we are here to help.

In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. Anyone buying or selling records through the magazine must use our conditions to state what amount of wear and tear the disc, its sleeve and/or contents have been subject to. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:

MINT (M) : The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
