Description
LED ZEPPELIN - PHYSICAL GRAFFITI
You are bidding on a truly superb 1st pressing of Physical Graffiti. Unless you bought this album from new and stored it away without ever playing it, you will be hard pressed to find any better !! Getting harder and harder to find these days in such lovely condition. So let's get to the details:
Oh yes, as I expect this to do well there will be 99p starting price and no reserve !!! SO GET BIDDING !!!
The matrixes are: SSK-89400-A1, SSK-89400-B5, SSK-89400-C1 and SSK-89400-D1.
Outer box-like sleeve is is in excellent condition. All windows are perfect front and back. There is only minimal age wear on the back of sleeve near the top. All edges are very firm and square still retaining a box-like quality. The only scuffing is at the top edge of the spine where the red lettering of LED ZEPPELIN is printed, and this is only very small. The foldover inner sleeve (complete with "Gothic Print Finishers Ltd.") is also in beautiful condition with only the very smallest amount of light age discolouration right at the top edges. Certainly does not detract in any way from the overall appearance, as you would physically have to take your eyes away from what is written on the sleeve and really look at the edges to even notice it !! The two other original inserts are in as pristine condition as you can get - just like brand new !!
Now for the discs: All the labels are very clean and strongly coloured - just perfect. Also without the Warner logos, as seen on later editions. The vinyls themselves look almost flawless in everyday lighting conditions, with just a very few whispery lines just about visible on side four only. When viewed under strong halogen lighting or very bright sunlight, only then can you see that the records have been played quite a few times. Very fine spidering seen on all sides, and a few paper sleeve rubs on side four. Just to remind you though, they really do look awesome to the naked eye in normal everyday lighting conditions. There is certainly nothing that will detract from the overall playing quality though, as these beauties have been very carefully looked after when being played. Definitely no scratches, or any other nasties that would lessen the sound quality of this great album. So in my opinion a definite grade of excellent again.
I do combine postage costs if buying more than 1 item, so please let me know if bidding on something else before I post.
So without further ado, happy bidding or buying and thank you for looking. Regards, Dave. On 19-May-11 at 11:22:48 BST, seller added the following information:
I have just noticed that in the pictures, the last letter I of GRAFFITI on the sleeve looks very blurred. This was due to a smudge on my camera lens. The I is as clean and sharp as all the others !! Hope this did not put off any potential bidders - sorry. I can email any more pictures to anyone who wishes to see more. Regards, Dave.
Also, I accept returns if winner is in any way not satisfied with this fine record.
