Description

Artist: Led Zeppelin Title: Physical Graffiti Label: Swan Song Cat No: SSK 89400 Year: 1975 Country: UK
This is the 1st ever UK Issue of `Physical Graffiti` double album by Led Zeppelin, a true legendry LP reissued  many times over the years since its release this is the very first UK version that hit the shops here in 1975, distinctive by the following details:
Has the `Swan Song 484 Kings Road address on the rear of the sleeve & inner track foldover The inner foldover track list was made of card not paper and has `Gothic Print` on, it also has a single fold (later this was altered to a spine like fold as the records sat better) The record inners are made of card and had a rough inside which was later changed to smooth due to it affecting the vinyl -  with code "SSK 89400/A" for disc 1 and "SSK 89400/B" for disc 2 on bottom right back corner The Record labels are a darker orange than later issues and omitt the WB Logo at 3`oclock (This is the end of the 1st issues with `NO WB` on disc 1 and the `WB` Logo on disc 2 showing the changeover) Stamped Run Outs - Matrix: Side 1 -  SSK 89400 A1 Side 2 - SSK 89400 - B4 Side 3 SSK 89400 C2 Side 4 SSK 86400 D1
What is really great about this copy is the condition of the Vinyl, they look almost unplayed which is really hard to find due to the Original rough inners
Vinyl:- Disc 1 (NM) even under bright halogen lights I can hardly see any of the usual sleeve removal scuffs (if you know this record you will know the vinyl came in its rough card inner sleeves which left surface marks on the vinyl surface), Plays through as New, sounds amazing, Original 1st Press Matrix A1/B4 Disc 2 (EX++) also looks great even under bright halogen lights I can only just see the lightest of sleeve removal scuffs Plays through great had very little play as shown by the spindle hole which has a very tight fit Matrix C2/B1  nothing feelable no sticks/jumps etc the LP`s play through great.
NB: I have placed the records into tissue lined inners to keep them pristine
Labels - Lovely Clean Dark Swan Song Labels - Cant see any visible spindle lines
Inserts - all in EX condition
Sleeve (EX+) - Gimmix `Gothic Print` sleeve with interchangeable windows, readable spine, very little wear with all Die Cut Windows nicely in tact, Great Copy with just some fading/wear to main spine (Please see photos for complete overview)
I am in the process of selling lots of obscure & rare Records/CD`s, I will be posting regularly why not check them out!

I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover

I use lots of photos to show as accurately as possible what you are getting (also I dont cut the corners of the record sleeve off the picture!!)

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Near Mint,  EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
