ALL Led Zeppelin albums are officially now out of print on Classic Records 200g vinyl and will no longer be made.
After a slew of albums that had built Led Zeppelin into the biggest rock band in the world, there was a frenzied anticipation for 1975's Physical Graffiti. Masters Page, Jones, Bonham and Plant did not disappoint. This two-disc LP set is a sprawling and adventurous effort, again propelling the band farther from its four-beat blues and roots to a progressing rock unit. Dabbling in middle-eastern rhythms, folk styling and their signature heavy blues rock riffs, the result pushes Graffiti to the upper echelon of the double albums that were prevalent (and usually indulgent) of all major rock acts in the 70s.
Highlights include concert favorites, “Kashmir,” “Custard Pie,” “Houses of the Holy,” “The Rover” plus “In My Time of Dying,” “Trampled Underfoot,” “In The Light,” “Bron-Yr-Aur,” “Down by the Seaside,” “Ten Years Gone,” “Night Flight,” “Wanton Song,” “Boogie With Stu,” “Black Country Woman” and “Sick Again.”
Quiex SV-P - High quality analogue mastering from the original master tapes
This is a 200 gram high-quality and super quiet LP box set pressing from Classic Records as part of their 'Quiex-SVP' series. In contrast to many CD and LP releases that are mastered from fifth or sixth generation copies, Classic used the original master tapes and cut the album using their all analog and tube amplified mastering process; allowing every conceivable detail and nuance from the original recording to be translated to this pressing.
Mastering was conducted under the supervision of Jimmy Page. These Led Zeppelin pressings have received rave reviews and are arguably the best sounding releases of the albums ever available and the most accurate reproduction of the original recordings.
Many reviewers rate this release even more highly than the original Swan Song vinyl release. Packaged in the same way as the original release, with die-cut window sleeve and top sliding sleeves for each LP, in a luxury heavyweight package.
