Classic Records 180g Pressings of the Led Zeppelin LP’s were the first re-issue of their LP’s for a significant number of years.  These sold relatively few copies at the time, having been superseded by the 200g pressing which followed a few years after.  Many regard these first re-issue 180g pressings to be slightly superior to the 200g pressings, and the sound quality on offer here is pretty much second to none, and of course that includes CD’s. 
 
180g pressings are easily identified by the smaller inner circle line visible on the labels.  With these 180g pressings the circle is a similar dimeter to a standard LP, whereas the 200g pressings have a much larger diameter to the circle.  The difference is clear and be under no illusions here, this copy offered here is for the rarer and highly sought after Classic Records 180g pressing!!!
  
 
Grading: -
 
Outer Sleeve: NEAR MINT
 
The gatefold sleeve is in Near Mint condition.  There are no creases, marks, stains, writing etc. of any description.  Any wear visible is incredibly light and would not in any way detract from what is an absolutely stunning sleeve that has been well cared for.  Stunning.
 
Vinyl: NEAR MINT / EX+
 
Record 1 (containing Side 1 and 2) is in Near Mint condition. It shows extremely minor signs of use. It has an incredibly light hairline on one side which is quite long but even under bright light it reveals as being very cosmetic and does not affect play to any discernable degree.
 
Record 2 (containing Side 3 and 4) is graded at EX+.  Virtually no hairlines or anything to note except one noticeable line which extends across 2/3rd of Side 3.  This is a shame, and spoils the look of the surface more than the actual playback, but under intense scrutiny, both visually and audibly, this is not a deep mark, but more of a graze to the surface.   During playback there is minimal additional noise which can be heard only in the quieter passages.
 
Overall this set is in great condition, the records are predominantly very clean, with a couple of condition points noted above.
 
 
Labels: MINT
 
The Labels are in perfect condition, with no defects.
 
INNER SLEEVES:  NEAR MINT
 
Just slight signs of handling but with no significant defects or wear. Superb.
 
The original Classic Records polythene outer sleeve is included although I have re-housed the LP in re-sealable sleeve to further protect it.
 
A fantastic opportunity to own an absolutely top quality vinyl 180g Classic Records pressing of this double LP.
 
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
