Description
Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti
Led Zeppelin, Physical Graffiti.
1975 UK Swan Song Records two LP set with picture inner sleeves, insert and die-cut external sleeve.
Not the first press but still a very early press with A1/B5/C1/D1 matrices and no Warner Bros logo or text.
The original die-cut "windows" sleeve has "SWAN SONG/484 KINGS ROAD, LONDON SW10" address at the top on back.
The inner sleeves have code "SSK 89400/A" for disc 1 and "SSK 89400/B" for disc 2 on bottom right back corner.
The 2-page folded insert is the rarest variant with a satin finish to front and back and a SINGLE fold to the bottom. "Sleeve printed and made in England by Gothic Print Finishers Ltd., London SE9 2EQ" text to insert.
Vinyl visually VG. Still glossy but a number of scuffs and some very gentle scratches, nothing deep or feelable.
Plays very solidly however. There is occasional low level crackle at quieter spots and the occasional soft tick but this is infrequent and unobtrusive and much of the set plays EX. On the track "Ten Years Gone" crackle is just a little more prevalent. Not overbearing or annoying but a little more noticeable.
Labels are clean.
Insert overall clean and tidy with minimal wear and handling but slightly knocked to top edge.
Inner sleeve 1 has neat one inch centre seam split to left edge and other minor edge rubbing else EX. Inner sleeve 2 has neat one inch centre seam splits to left and top edge else EX.
External sleeve has minor edge rubbing, mainly to bottom. The spine and left and right edges have mostly intact surface material. Some wear and fractional loss to top left and right corners. Else aside from some storage rubbing, mainly to rear, the main panels are well preserved and the die-cut detail is unusually well preserved and without the usual tears and knocking.
