Details: - Incredible Find - first ever UK Issue of this rock classic in Mint - condition, This is the genuine first `Gimmix` cover with all inserts in top condition!! see below how this copy meets all the criteria of a genuine first issue copy as on the day of it`s release!! Super scarce rock treasure - matrix - SSK 89400 A1/SSK 89400 B4/SSK 89400 C1/SSK 89400 D1

Here below I have outlined the criteria for a genuine 1st UK Pressing (this copy has them all!!):

• Main Sleeve : Thick Strong Card with spine all around - Has `484 Kings Road, London address` on back of cover (shows it is a UK sleeve) 
• Inner Fold over : White Thick Card with spine and rough texture on rear (later copies had paper like quality) must have the `Gothic Printers, London` credit
• 2 Inner Sleeves : Thick card (later copies had paper like quality), there is one sleeve for disc one and one for disc two (the photographs differ between the two) - SSK 89400A/SSK 89400B catalogue numbers on back right corner of covers.
• Vinyl : A1/B4/C1/D1 matrix `No WEA Logo` on labels (essential for a 1st pressing), Made in UK credits 

Gradings:

Vinyl: Disc 1 (Mint-) Superb Vinyl in fantastic condition, even under Halogen Spotlights I am struggling to see any sleeve removal wisps, Looks unplayed!! Disc 2 (Mint-) Again a superb copy looks as new in normal light and only under Halogen spotlights can I see the feint wispy paper scuffs (so hard to find like this because the vinyl was issued in rough cardboard inners, this meant almost as soon as the record was removed it would receive removal scuffs so to find one like this is a real joy). The playback is also great with no distortion and no loud crackles (Just the Odd Dust Crackle) and it does not stick or jump...fantastic near mint audio!!

Inserts : (M-) includes the original `Thick Card` White foldover Insert with `Gothic Print` credits, also the original `Thick Card` pair of inners with correct SSK 89400A/SSK 89400B catalogue numbers on back right corner. All in Mint- condition

Sleeve: (M-) Classic `Die Cut` Thick Card `Gimmix` Sleeve in almost perfect condition, Sharp Perfect Spine & Opening, Sleeve really is in top condition with just some minimal edgewear on bottom, Archive copy (see photos)

Music: .The instrumental "Bron-Yr-Aur" was recorded in July 1970 at Island Studios, London, for Led Zeppelin III. It was named after Bron-Yr-Aur, a cottage in Gwynedd, Wales where Jimmy Page and Robert Plant spent time writing and recording for Led Zeppelin III. "Night Flight" and "Boogie with Stu" were recorded at Headley Grange and "Down by the Seaside" at Island Studios, all for Led Zeppelin IV. "The Rover" and "Black Country Woman" were recorded at the same sessions as "D'yer Mak'er", which were at Stargroves using the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio in May 1972. "Houses of the Holy" was also recorded in May 1972, but at Olympic Studios. The group's fifth album, Houses of the Holy, took its title from this song. Of course it also includes the classic `Kashmir`!!!

Design :The original album jacket for the LP album included four covers made up of two inners (for each disc), a middle insert cover and an outer cover. The inner covers depict various objects and people. The middle insert cover is white and details all the album track listings and recording information. The outer cover has die-cut windows on the building, so when the middle cover is wrapped around the inner covers and slid into the outer cover, the title of the album is shown on the front cover, spelling out the name "Physical Graffiti"..

Trivia : The two five-story buildings photographed for the album cover are located at 96 and 98 St. Mark's Place in New York City. But to enable it to fit, the fourth floor (of five) had to be cropped out. So for the album cover it became a four-story building instead. The front cover is a daytime image, while the back cover is the same image but at night time.  There is currently a used clothing store in the basement of 96 St. Mark's Place called Physical Graffiti.
