The legendary and mighty Led Zeppelin released their seventh studio album in 1976, and named it 'Presence'. It's not a record with big radio hits, but it DOES include some fantastic tracks! Songs like "Nobody's Fault But Mine", "Candy Store Rock", and of course, "Achilles Last Stand" are great songs. I even remember an 80s metal band from the New Orleans area with the name of Royal Orleans, but who had to change their name. Either because of the Zeppelin song, or the actual New Orleans hotel with the same name. (They changed their name to Persia.)

The artwork from the album cover is by Hipgnosis, (who's worked with Pink Floyd and several other bands), and features 'The Object'. What it is? No one knows! It was never explained, and that made people wonder. Which was obviously the point! It's black with a weird shape, and strange and wild at the same time...

Up for grabs today is a Japanese import of that Zeppelin album, on a 12" picture disc LP! It's great, and comes with a very cool obi type discography backing card. These were made in EXTREMELY limited quantities, and are very rare and scarce to find! And of course, it could be taken down at any time. (eBay can be weird when it comes to items like these, so don't wait if you are interested.) These pic discs were rumored to be made in batches of only 100, though I've never been able to confirm that.

Bought new, and this thing is beautiful, shiny, and clean! Backing card looks great, as well. I cannot vouch for the sound quality, as I never play specialty vinyl such as pic discs or colored records. Heavy and thick 180 gram vinyl. This comes in a plain and clear PVC backing card. A fantastic and exceptional piece of rock and roll history, and the pic disc LP of Zeppelin's landmark classic album 'Presence'. Grab it before it's gone, for good!
