For sale here is the earliest possible vinyl in the second sleeve..
The earliest sleeve, (turquoise), was only produced in small numbers,
approximately 2000. This was quickly changed to the orange lettered sleeve in the same year.
However, in the transition period a very small number of (turquoise uncorrected matrix) vinyl were paired with orange sleeves, and vice versa, a small number of corrected matrixs' vinyl were paired with the turquoise sleeve..
So what i have for sale here is the very first, uncorrected matrix, vinyl press in the orange lettered sleeve with silver strip, which came out in the same year, (1969)..
As stated earlier, (information gained from many sources), the turquoise sleeve was produced in small numbers, approximately 2000,
before the orange sleeve was introduced and the matrixs' were corrected. This can only mean that the uncorrected matrix vinyl, on sale here, is the very first press/run that was meant for the turquoise sleeve..
GRADING;
SLEEVE..
VG++ some slight laminate creasing, (no splits), and slight corner wear, very slight feathering to open edge.. no writing or marks.. overall superb condition for it's age and whoever owned it took good care..
INNER SLEEVE..
EX no splits or tears, very slight creasing.
LABELS..
EX original and extra clean. very little spindle wear, under light a small amount of spidering 'around' hole,
not wear on hole but spindle marks but where turntable pin has hit the.. labels..
only visible under strong light and unnoticable to naked eye.. very minimal.
VINYL..
VG++ a small, (factory pressing fault),
pimple on side 1, track 1.. This does not affect play in any way.
under strong light a couple of hairline scratches and paper scuffs but nothing major and unfeelable,
nothing to affect play.. The audio is superb through my paradigm monitor 5 speakers pushed by sony integrated spontaneous twin drive amp and rega planar 3 deck with rb300 & linn k9 cart... very small crackle here and there but nothing to spoil the superb audio on this monster prog album...
