However what makes this example so rare and sought-after is that it is the true ORIGINAL 1969 Earliest UK 1st Pressing with Turquoise Sleeve Text, A1//B1 Matrix & Plum/Red Labels with Superhype Credit - that's right it is the ultimate UK Turquoise-lettered 1st Pressing of their 1st album (only the very first batch had these features; all later UK pressings had orange sleeve text and 'Warner' credits on the labels)!!! What's more, it is in superb condition throughout! - one of the best I have ever seen!! 1st Press Superhype Credits? - Yep!

The Classic 1st press Plum/Orange Atlantic Record centre labels with earliest "Superhype" credits are in superb Ex++ condition!!! There are NO Scribbles, NO lifting and NO unwanted writing of any kind, just some very light spindle lines and that's it!!! The thick & chunky quality pressed vinyl is is superb Ex condition!!!

Most of these 1st pressings were played to death in the 1960's & 1970's and are now very rare, usually only turning up today full of scratches with a dull sheen and totally worn out. This one is NOT!!! It still retains a beautiful sheen!!! The record also still has ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling, NO nasty greying of the grooves and absolutely NO nasty scratches!!! There are just a one or two very very light hairlines present!!! It plays as good as it looks with NO skips, jumps or nasty pops!!! Just pure classic Led Zeppelin just as they were meant to sound; straight from the UK Master Presses!!! Very Loud and punchy on 1st press Stereo (this LP was never made in Mono) Take my word for it, like all Led Zeppelin records, the UK 1st press really sounds like no other pressing!!! What's more this is the quietest playing copy of this very rare record I have ever heard!!! It plays pristinely with virtually NONE of the normal crackle you expect from this record - even during the quieter passages and between tracks!!!! Impossible for earliest Superhype 1st pressing!!! I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Excellent (most would grade much higher)!!! Aurally it grades ever higher!!!! Its as simple as that!!! What can I say about the the classic laminated MacNeil UK 1st Press Turquoise-lettered sleeve that you don't already know!!!! These do just not turn up anymore, and on the rare occasions that they do, it is NEVER in this condition, they are usually battered, worn, ripped, torn and quite often scribbled on. This one is not - it is a superb example of this very rare sleeve, and although not mint - it is one of the best examples you will find today - it is nothing like the usual battered scribbled-on offerings that turn up on eBay!!! Firstly It is completely blemish free, it has NO unwanted scribbles/writing etc!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with virtually NONE OF THE RING WEAR which is commonly associated with this very rare sleeve!!!! It has a good strong spine with Mint- spine text and just the very occasional minor laminate crease and lift coming out from it. It has NO laminate cracking ANYWHERE on the sleeve or spine!!!!! There are 4 or 5 of the regular 'oxbow-type laminate creases on the front and reverse side, and some laminate lifting along the front of the spine spine, very common with this sleeve and much better than most I have seen!!! The reverse side is beautiful with NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing, again it has the most minor lifting partway down the spine but NO cracks or folds!!! I am being very fussy here, but want to describe this important sleeve in as much detail as possible. It's as simple as that - this is a superb example of the legendary Turquoise Led Zeppelin 1 sleeve, there are not many left in batter condition!!! It easily grades as Excellent- condition!!!! Of course this rare LP comes with its Original and correct Atlantic 'Made in England' & 'British Patent' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve! This is also Nr Mint, with NO creases, NO seam splits, Perfect sharp corners and poly inner lining still firmly attached!!! This is seen by many as one of the best rock records ever made -  and one of the greatest debuts of all time!!! The rare turquoise-lettered Superhype 1st pressings in this kind of condition are thus in VERY high demand today. Don't miss this auction - this is the daddy of them all!! Finally a word of warning - This is a TRUE 1st press Turquoise Lettered Led Zep 1 UK 1st Press!!!! But beware of sellers trying to sell you a Turquoise Led Zep 1 with discs that DO NOT contain the Superhype credit!!!! They are NOT the original discs - all true 1st press discs that came with the Turquoise sleeve MUST have the 'Superhype Credit'!!! There has been much mixing and matching of unscratched non-superhype plum/red discs to turquoise sleeves to try and increase the overall condition of the record. Do not be fooled  - always ask about the Superhype credit on the label. If you are lucky enough to win this auction you will be receiving a TRUE 1st Press Turquoise Led Zeppelin 1 sleeve with is ORIGINAL 1st Press Superhype-credited Vinyl!!!!!

It has recently been pointed out to me that some eBay sellers have been using my images without permission. If you are thinking of lifting a picture or two from my pages - don't. You will be reported and your auction will be removed by eBay. It's not that I mind, in fact its kinda flattering, my real problem is that whoever does this is not showing a true image of the actual record they are selling. The condition of old 1960's & 70's records varies greatly, no two are in exactly the same condition when they are this age. We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.

A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up  - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it.
