Description

2nd PHASE

What does this mean?

The 1st phase was the implementation of the Bernardo’s Business Model as outlined below. The 2nd phase is as records are re-listed or new discs added. The records in this 2nd phase are grouped into two categories; rare, hard-to-find or new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s which are all from my personal collection or the 4,000+ titles that I must sell before I return to the EU later this year. These titles are discounted already but look for even steeper discounts especially for multi-record purchases.

The rare, hard-to-find and new records bought in England or Germany in the ‘80s will be re-priced based upon what it will take to get me to let them go. Many of the current rare listings will be reduced but there will be no further reductions. Most will have an option to “Make An Offer.” They will be either new listings or relisted for 90 days and then if unsold, they will be taken down and boxed for my return to the EU by the end of the year and subsequently sold at record shows primarily in Germany at higher prices than they will be offered on eBay. The not-so-rare titles after 90 days may be relisted again or sold to local dealers but they will not return to Europe with me.

The new general shipping policy is shipping within ONE BUSINESS DAY of confirmed Paypal payment and most are offered with a 14 DAY MONEY BACK RETURN GUARANTEE.  Buy a minimum four records and get free USA domestic shipping or reduced international shipping.

BUY ANY FOUR RECORDS and get FREE NEXT BUSINESS -DAY USA SHIPPING OR DISCOUNTED INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!

Bernardo’s

SETTING A NEW STANDARD FOR ON-LINE VINYL SALES

All discs are packed professionally with the disc stored in a MFSL Original Master Sleeve (or similar) and a new outer jacket. The disc is sent between the cardboard jacket and new outer sleeve.

Discs cleaned with a 16.5 VPI

Jackets wiped inside and outside

Translucent outside covers

MFSL (or similar) inside covers

Selected discs PLAY graded as well as visually inspected

We can’t guarantee each record will be perfect, but we will get it as good as it can be when it is sent. These records can be up to 50 years old with unknown storage and handling but you can be assured that we can do wonders in saving old vinyl so that it can be enjoyed not endured!”

PLEASE NOTE:  All records are visually inspected under a strong light and selected discs are played in order to come up with a meaningful evaluation. Every mark, mar, imperfection, scratch and countless other potential anomalies are not considered individually and certainly not singled out unless they are heard repeatedly in the play process, but rather lumped together in things such as “occasional light paper scratches” for example. If I can’t hear it on the playback, I obviously won’t comment on it.

I use a Music Hall 9.1, a Music Hall 5.1 or an AR “The Turntable” with either a Goldring Eroica MC, Goldring 2200 MM or a Denon A100 MC cartridge depending on the turntable. Please do not assume, as occasionally I get accused of, that I should have noted something in the listing which you might hear and I don’t. My stellar feedback speaks for itself and after selling close to 6,000 records since 1999, I will do my best to deliver to you the best product I can. These are used records and in many cases 20, 30 or 40+ years old with, unless I bought them new, an unknown history of cleaning, storage and playback equipment. I can’t guarantee that with your cartridge, turntable and set-up you won’t hear something I don’t but I can guarantee that I won’t send anything that is intentionally below my high standards.

I am dealing with hundreds of records a week these days so there are times when I might miss something. I usually catch anything I might have missed earlier when I do my final checks/plays of discs before they get boxed up. If I find something, I will e-mail the buyer with a solution but sometimes record issues do escape me. This is vinyl. Please don’t assume that I am trying to screw you over. Don’t write me hostile e-mails but rather send me an e-mail describing the situation. We will work something out. We are only dealing in records.  Look at my feedback. I pride myself on honesty, integrity and fair play.

LED ZEPPELIN – Vintage Led Zeppelin 1971 (BBC Transcription Services, 1983)

This was issued by the BBC before satellite transmission became the method of distribution to its member stations all over the UK.  These concerts were pressed on vinyl and then sent to the stations which could play them for the duration of the license. It seems kinda clunky today since we are so used to satellite distribution but that is the way it was done.  THIS IS NOT A BOOTLEG but an official radio station copy.  It is MEGA-RARE with only a few hundred even pressed since it was only designed to be sent to radio stations throughout the UK.  The concert was distributed in the US on King Biscuit Flower Hour but was butchered since about a quarter was cut-out due to commercials!  This is the only way you can get the full concert.

The cover is just like new with no ring wear or scuffing and there are no rips, tears or splits in the seams.  The disc label has no spindle marks on it. It looks unplayed but, of course, I played it once to check it out and it was super. If there is a better copy of this vinyl than this disc, I’d like to see it. I held the disc under a strong light. I saw a little blotching on both sides from storage but you’d never see that under normal light. I had to struggle to find a light, paper scratch that was so light that I could only see it when I tilted the disc at one angle.

I have had this since 1985 when I found it along with the Pink Floyd ’70-’71 BBC disc at a used store in Newcastle, England. I only went there because my local mate drug me to this store since he assured me that I’d find some rare things but he wouldn’t tell me  what I’d find. Actually, the owner was a friend of his and he was holding both for me!

I only have one and IT IS OUTSTANDING. Check out the Pink Floyd also!  It will be online for 90 days and if it doesn’t sell then it boxed away for my return to the EU where I can sell it at a show in Germany or at the Mega Show in Utrecht!

I can’t say that this is the best copy out there but I doubt you will find a better one. And you get the new translucent sleeve, MFSL inner sleeve and my reputation stands behind it. Of course, I will play and clean both sides before and after I play it just as I have done when I played it last year in Prague.

PLEASE NOTE:  This is the 1983 re-issue not the original 1971 disc. That is the reason why it states "Vintage Led Zeppelin 1971". Either the original or the re-issue is almost impossible to find since there are so few copies.
