Up for auction is a gorgeous still-sealed original copy of the group’s debut LP release issued in 1969 entitled “LED ZEPPELIN.” 

Led Zeppelin, an English rock band that formed in September 1968, consisted of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones.  With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands.  Their rock infused interpretation of the blues also incorporated rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, folk, pop, Latin, and country.  For more detailed information about the band, please click on the following link:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Led_zeppelin

This album is issued on the ATLANTIC label, catalog number SD 8216.  The jacket is standard construction, with a small bit of gray cardboard visible on the reverse at the bottom right corner where the front and back cover slicks are joined. 

Guaranteed to be original and authentic.  I cannot claim whether or not this is a first pressing, although I do not see any reason to assume that it is not.   The weight and presence of gray carboard suggests that it is not a later pressing.

Condition is still sealed, shrink wrap is clean and pristine, the only flaw being the presence of very tiny rips in the shrink wrap at 3 of the 4 corner tips and on the reverse near the center, almost unnoticeable.  The reverse also shows a slight amount of rubbing on the shrink wrap that is similar to ring wear at the top center on the reverse.  Otherwise looks exactly as it did on the day it was manufactured.  There are no cutout marks or indications of any kind.  You will be extremely hard pressed to find a nicer copy anywhere.

Shipping is $3.75 to anywhere in the U.S. via USPS media mail, (insurance, priority mail, and overseas shipping available at additional cost.)

For maximum security in transit, insurance (cost: $2.75) if domestic, or postal registration fee of USD 9.90 if international, will be added to shipping cost in cases where the final bid price is USD 100 or more.  (May be waived upon request and at my discretion, if you have dealt with me previously and have an exemplary feedback record).
