Description
LED ZEPPELIN - the ORIGINAL and RAREST 1ST PRESSING of their 1ST ALBUM (stereo - released 1969).
The album has the ORIGINAL TURQUOISE TITLE & ATLANTIC LOGO on the front sleeve and the GREY LINE along the bottom edge of the front cover - this only came with the earliest pressings.
The vinyl album itself has the red/maroon Atlantic label with the "SUPERHYPE" publishing credits.
The matrix numbers on the inner part of the disc are 588171 A//1 (on side one) and 588171 B//1 (on side two)
All clearly showing this as a first pressing.
The vinyl is in "excellent" to "excellent+" condition with very few light surface marks. The album plays beautifully throughout with superb sound quality.Labels on both sides are immaculate with no scuffs, scratches or other marks. There is no wear around the spindle hole as the album has rarely ever been played.
The sleeve is also in excellent condition with an excellent shine to the laminate on both sides. The title edge to the album sleeve is also free of creases with album title and record number clearly readable with no defects.
There are three or four very light thumbnail type creases near the opening edge on the front of the sleeve, but all in all,a superb condition record and sleeve. The sleeve,as the vinyl, I've graded as "excellent" to "excellent+". This is a top notch copy of a very rare and desirable album by one of the greatest rock groups ever.
The apparent couple of surface marks on the disc seen in photo 3 are a trick of the light - down to my photography I'm afraid;there are no such marks on the record.
I have set it at a relatively low starting bid, especially when compared with others at present listed on ebay. I believe you would have to go a long way to find a better copy than this one. Good luck.
