Description
This is an auction for the fifth studio Lp by Led Zeppelin released in 1973 in the Uk on Atlantic records catalogue number K50014. The great thing about this lp is that it is a genuine Uk first press complete with the Very Very Rare OBI strip. It has all the other requirements of a first press as it has A2 and B2 matrix numbers with "Sterling" written in the runout groove. It has the label with no Warners credit on it and the original gatefold sleeve with no credits and the original lyric sheet with the Macneil Press credit. The other great thing is that it is in excellent condition throughout.
The vinyl is in excellent condition with a lovely sheen. There are one or two very very light superficial marks which have no affect on the Audio. The lp sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without and skips or jumps. The audio is clear and vibrant throughout and sounds really good. There is some light background noise throughout which is slightly more pronounced on Side 1 but i am happy to grade the audio as excellent.
The labels are in Excellent+ condition. There are 3 small initials written on side 1 but this does not detract.
The gatefold sleeve is in Excellent++ condition and looks superb.
The inner lyric sleeve is also in Excellent++ condition.
The Ultra rare original Obi is still sealed and free of writing or marks. There is some slight wear to one corner but it is in overall Very Good++ condition
Overall a very rare copy of this great Lp and in excellent condition throughout.

I use the Record Collector grading system to grade my records-please see below
The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.
Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
