We've clarifying our grading of the vinyl:

We spot-checked the sound in a few places and on the intros, and the sound is excellent!  There is some very minor, low-level light surface noise that is can only be heard on a few of the intros and during the quieter passages. It's totally unobtrusive and to be expected considering the age and rarity of this nice heavy pressing. The music is cut loud, and thanks to the genius of Rudy Van Gelder's lacquer-cutting skills, this is an audiophile delight with crisp highs and excellent, natural presence and deep bass. The higher frequencies are not "rolled off" even though the record was played several times by the previous owner.

On Jul-14-10 at 14:54:59 PDT, seller added the following information:

This album was visually graded as weak vg+ because of some small superficial scratches and marks. In response to questions, we have spot-checked the LP. The marks in question do not produce any ticks, and the record plays through these passages beautifully with little noticeable surface noise, only during the quietest passages or between tracks. The sound quality is excellent.
