Ever since its release in 1974, Thomas Leer and Robert Rental's The Bridge has never been reissued. Rental passed away in 2000 and this was their only record together, but boy what a record it is. It first came on Throbbing Gristle's legendary Industrial Records and immediately showed off the artists' unique musical visions with its avant-garde synth-pop sounds and evocative electronic landscapes. It comes just after the end of a vital exhibition in London, 'From The Port To The Bridge' which shared the story behind the making of this cult classic album.
