Description
10" 78 rpm Shellac Record
American BROADWAY 1294
LEE'S BLACK DIAMONDS ( Windy Rhythm Kings )
"SOUTH AFRICAN BLUES / PIGGLY WIGGLY BLUES"
CONDITION: Approx. V- / G
( with heavy rubs and scuffs; a few short, light scratches, side B; side A
plays loud and clear with some moderate peak distortion; side B plays
with moderate to heavy distortion throughout the side; surface noise
well below music on both sides )
Paramount Masters, with Jimmy & Junie Cobb, Ernie Smith, Alex Hill (?)
& Jimmy Bertrand (?), recorded in Chicago, April 1929
Paramount issue as "Windy Rhythm Kings"
I wouldn't normally list records in this kind of condition but it's rare and
still very listenable, despite the significant wear.
This record is supplied in a rather nice "Broadway Records" sleeve which
is in excellent condition; no creases or tears, just the number "19" written
in pencil on the front of the sleeve
