Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are form my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare 1st U.K. pressing of Legend – Legend (“Red Boot”) on the SWIRL VERTIGO label, cat. no. 6360 019.
The record is in VG+ condition, there are some non-sounding hairlines and scuffs. On the first track of side one are two visible and sounding marks. I have test played this album and these marks will sound a little bit, but it is not disturbing. The rest of the album plays great, I would almost grade it EX minus. The labels in VG+ condition as well, there are some spindle marks only.
The cover is in VG minus condition, it has been damp and so it is a bit bubbly on both the front and back. There is also a sticker and some very slight ring wear on the back. Besides mentioned damage there is no writing, no rips or tears or other damage. Unfortunately the original Vertigo Swirl inner sleeve is missing.
Although not in a dream Mint condition, this second album by Legend, just called Legend (like their 1969 debut album) but better known as “Red Boot” is still very presentable. These first U.K. Swirl pressings of Legend albums are becoming very scarce these days. A real must have for all Legend fans or Swirl Vertigo collectors!
