THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING OF THE ORIGINAL UK TRANSATLANTIC ISSUE OF BERT JANSCH AND JOHN RENBOURN’S LP “BERT AND JOHN” AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! COPIES OF THIS LP TENDED TO GET PLAYED TO DEATH AND WERE NOT VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER, SO IT IS CONSEQUENTLY HARD TO FIND IN ANYTHING APPROACHING THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. THE COVER IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is TRA 144 on the UK TRANSATLANTIC label. Matrix numbers are STRA 144 A1 and STRA 144 B1.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD SHORTLY AFTER IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS RARELY BEEN PLAYED AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The laminated cover is in BRILLIANT condition for its age (see pictures)! It has NO wear to the spine. There are 3 VERY LIGHT AND SHORT (less than 1cm) horizontal creases to the left edge of the front cover. The laminate has come away SLIGHTLY from the front cover where it meets the spine (see picture). There is creasing to the top left (2cm x 2cm), top right (1cm x 1cm) and bottom right (0.75cm x 0.75cm) corners of the front cover. There is a 5cm diagonal crease 5cm from the top left corner of the front cover. There is a LIGHT 1.5cm vertical crease 5cm to the right of the bottom left corner. The opening edges are straight with NO edgewear. There is NO ringwear, NO rubbing and NO writing.
The laminate has come away SLIGHTLY from the back cover where it meets the spine (see picture). There is a 4 cm diagonal crease to the top right corner of the back cover. There is creasing to the EXTREME corners of the back cover. There is a LIGHT 5cm diagonal crease 5cm from the top right corner of the front cover. There is one LIGHT 1cm horizontal crease half way down the right edge of the back cover. The opening edges are straight with NO edgewear. There is NO ringwear, NO rubbing and NO writing.
Essentially the cover looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOR ITS AGE!

For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
