Description
THIS IS A VERY FIRST PRESSING OF THE ORIGINAL 1970 RELEASE OF THE SECOND ROD STEWART LP “GASOLINE ALLEY” ISSUED IN THE UK ON THE VERTIGO LABEL. THIS LP IS IN STEREO AND IS SERIOUSLY RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL IS IN MINT CONDITION. THE SLEEVE IS IN VIRTUALLY MINT CONDITION. DONT MISS THIS VERY RARE OPPORTUNITY!
The Catalogue Number is 6360 500 on the UK VERTIGO label and is in Stereo. Matrix numbers are 6360 500 1Y 1 420 and 6360 500 2Y 1 420.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see picture) with NO wear and NO writing. There are ONLY THE VERY VERY TINIEST HINTS of spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD THE DAY IT CAME OUT AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The pebble effect textured cover is in VIRTUALLY MINT condition! It has NO wear to the spine, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, NO writing and ONLY THE VERY SLIGHTEST HINT of edgewear to the open edges. There are NO creases. There is SLIGHT shelfwear to the very bottom edge of the cover but this cannot be seen when looking at the front or back cover face-on. There is MINIMAL wear to the VERY EXTREME corners of the cover.
The cover FULLY retains its initial just-pressed look (see picture).
Overall the cover looks AMAZING!

For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover. All items are fully insured.
