Description

This is a recording on Wide-Band, deep-Grooved Decca SXL 2022-3 of Lehar's "The Merry Widow", performed here by the Vienna State Opera Chorus and Orchestra , directed by Robert Stolz). Soloists include: Hilde Gueden (soprano), Per Grunden (Tenor), Emmy Loose (soprano), Waldemar Kmentt (tenor), Peter Klein (tenor) and Karl Donch (baritone). Vinyl is very bright for all four sides with few surface marks and would rate Ex-/VG+/Ex-/Ex-. The gatefold-style sleeve shows moderate wear, mainly to insert edges and rear, but the attached booklet of notes and the original inners are still in very sharp condition.
