Groupe de recherches musicales (GRM) is a pioneering French public centre in electro-acoustic research operating from Maison de Radio France in Paris and commissioning music works, developping compositional tools, promoting electro-acoustic music through radio, concerts, records & books .
It was created in 1958 by Pierre Schaeffer .
Foundation in 1960 of RTF Research Department featuring GRM First studio established in Paris.
In 1965 Settling of ORTF Research Department and GRM new analog studios in Paris .
1974 is the yearof the First computer-music experiences led by Bénédict Mailliard, Pierre-Alain Jaffrenou & Bernard Durr
1975 sees the Merging of GRM & Departement de recherche et de recherche et de création musicales into the newly founded Institut national de l'audiovisuel (INA) settled at Maison de Radio France.
1978 - Launching of Collection GRM, quickly followed by Série Gramme directed by François Bayle and active up tp 1985 with more than 30 records published .

RECORD GRADING IS M= A perfect, unplayed record . NM= Record appears new, At most, perhaps a barely visible sleeve mark appears on the record. It should play without any noise or skips of any kind whatsoever. VG++/EX= Record has some extremely light surface marks. These marks do not affect play. Very nice copy VG+= Record has noticeable marks, Light surface scratches and may play with some very light noise, but doesn't overpower the music, Still very enjoyable. VG= Record has noticeable marks and scratches, plays with noise
