This is the Lenny & Squiggy originally of Laverne & Shirley fame. Michael McKean (Lenny) and Christopher Guest (Nigel Tufnel) later appeared together in Spinal Tap and Folksmen, The.
The keyboard player, Murphy Dunne, played with Blues Brothers, The. Ming The Merciless (2) was once purported to be Kiss drummer Peter Criss (without "cat" costume and make-up), though Criss denied it was him. McKean has since stated it was drummer Don Poncher.
