Leo Antúnez es un poeta uruguayo de la generación de los 70s. Hacia 1972 publicaba (luego de la edición de un single) el album "Un tal Leo Antúnez". Acompañado de excelentes músicos del medio local de la epoca, nos brindaba un formato de canción no escuchado ni visto hasta ese momento. Una propuesta casi recitada, versos cantados, dichos con vehemencia, con ganas, con la palabra por delante de una música de corte "pesada", blusera, punk; un formato que Zitarrosa bautizaria como "Contracancion". Visceral, atrevido y disidente, como características mas palpables, Leo Antúnez es considerado por muchos el primer "punk" de Uruguay, adelantado a toda una generación que ni siquiera estaba por gestarse. Revolcandose por distintos escenarios de festivales o shows, escupia su repudio a una sociedad blasfema.  En el año 72 los estudios Sondor fueron testigos de la grabación del único album que registrara Leo. En este larga duracion es acompañado por un poderoso grupo de apoyo: Jorge Barral en guitarras, Jorge Silva en bajo y Yamandú Pérez en bateria y percusion. Pero esta no fue la unica grabacion que nos dejara este artista. Un año antes en los mismo estudios registro el simple "La Jauría", con numero de catalogo 2002 y editado bajo un supuesto sello X, Leo nos dejaba 2 temas: "La Jauría" y "Padre Nuestro", los cuales venian con una tapa en la que aparecian perros comiendole las entrañas a un hombre desangrado en el piso. "El menos acogido por el público de su tiempo y portador de una extraña avanzada desde el punto de vista musical y literario, fue Leo Antúnez. Incomprendido, denostado y olvidado, musicalmente se anticipó a la aparición de Patti Smith, el punk y el rap, y en  su marcado escepticismo, llegó a describir a la sociedad uruguaya con más precisión que mucha prédica esperanzada en un futuro mejor."   “Lo de Leo fue impresionante”, asevera Fernando Peláez. “Parecia fuera de epoca y tanto su propuesta musical como su manera de actuar sobre el escenario o el tipo de letras que cantaba, eran cosas muy dificiles de entender por las audiencias de entonces. Sin embargo lo que hizo Leo Antúnez fue una cosa original, nueva, y no tenía referencias de haber visto algo igual y haber dicho ‘voy a hacer eso mismo’. Su idea de escribir algunos textos y acompañarse con un trio de rock que tocaban sus instrumentos siguiendo el recitado, era una onda que en aquella época provocaba repulsión.”

GRADING SCALE: We are as honest as possible grading vinyls (see grading scale below), but what might seem like a minor detail to us may seem like a major defect to you. That’s why we always try to take lots and good pictures in order to help your judgment (mainly about the artwork). But of course feel free to ask any questions before bidding or purchase.

RECORD:

MINT: I don´t use Mint. I only use sometimes unplayed (only if I know for sure that the record is really unplayed and also it looks unplayed).

NEAR MINT: Very clean with, sometimes, just a few barely visible light marks.

EXCELLENT: Light marks and/or few superficial scuffs and/or light scratches. An enjoyable listening with possible light intermittent and barely audible surface noise.

VG+: Some visible surface wear, very minor scratches and scuffs, but minimal impact on the sound quality. The difference between this and an excellent record is the amount of scuffs and light scratches.

VG: Vinyl will have noticeable scratches or scuffs that cause minor surface noise, but do not overpower the music May have continuous low level crackles or pops, but you still can enjoy the music. There will be no skips. Vinyl may appear somewhat dull and grayish 

G: It plays, no skipping (or it will be indicated), but with lots of scratches and surface noise. It is being offered because it is rare. 

COVER:

MINT: Again, I don´t use Mint even if the cover appears to be mint. 

NEAR MINT: Very sharp corners with no impacts or bends, like new. 

EXCELLENT: Small writing and/or a small bent corner and/or light shelf wear and/or a small tear and/or a small split seam and and/or light ring wear and/or seams and spine wear. (but no more than 3 of them) 

VG+: Small writing and/or a small bent corner and/or light shelf wear and/or a small tear and/or a small split seam and and/or light ring wear and/or a very slight water damage and/or seams and spine wear. (but no more than 5 of them) 

VG: Same as above but more visible flaws although the cover is still attractive 

G: All the defects plus Cuts and/or missing parts.
