On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Leonard Cohen called 'The Songs Of Leonard Cohen' and is an ORIGINAL 1967 UK 1st pressing on the 1st Press 'Textured' CBS label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  BUT WHAT MAKES THIS LP REALLY SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS A 100% GENIUNE 1967 1ST PRESSING AND IS SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  JUST TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND TRY AND FIND ANOTHER!!!!  SURE - YOU WILL FIND ONE OF THE COUNTLESS 70s RE-ISSUES (WHICH ARE OBVIOUSLY DIFFERENT AND HAVE POORER SOUND & LOOKS!).  BUT YOU WILL VIRTUALLY NEVER SEE A GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - AND CERTAINLY NOT ONE IN MEGA RARE STEREO!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN THE VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES THAT ONLY APPLY TO 1ST PRESSINGS ONLY!!!!

FIRSTLY THE COVER IS MANUFACTURED BY 'EJ.DAY' AND HAS 'PATENT PENDING' TEXT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE REVERSE (LATER ONES ARENT MADE BY E.J.DAY, AND DONT HAVE 'PATENT PENDING' TEXT).  SECONDLY THE COVER IS LAMINATED (LATER ONES ARENT!) AND HAS A 1ST PRESS 'CBS' BOX LOGO IN THE TOP LEFT HAND CORNER OF THE COVER FRONT WITH NO MENTION OF THE WORD 'STEREO' (LATER RE-ISSUES AFTER 1969 WERE ALL STEREOS - AND SO CBS INCORPORATED THE WORD 'STEREO' INTO THE LOGO)!!!!  THIRDLY THE COVER HAS STEREO PRINTED IN RED ON THE REVERSE OF THE COVER!!!!  ONLY THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSINGS EVER HAD THIS - AND LATER COVERS FROM 1968 HAD A WHITE STEREO STICKER INSTEAD, LATER STILL IN 1969/70 THEY HAD A GOLD STEREO STICKER INSTEAD, AND LATER STILL (AS MENTIONED ABOVE) THEY HAD STEREO PRINTED ON THE COVER FRONT!!!!   FOURTHLY THE INNER SLEEVE IS OF THE 'EARLIEST POSSIBLE' TYPE - BEING 'DEEP ORANGE' AND WITH NO DIE CUT HOLE (LATER ONES HAVE LATER INNER SLEEVES)!!!!  AND LASTLY THE LABELS ON THE RECORD ARE 'TEXTURED' AND HAVE THE FULL 'SBPG' PREFIX (LATER ONES ARE SMOOTH), AND THE RECORD HAS 1ST PRESS MATRIXES ENDING IN A1/B1 (LATER ONES DONT)!!!!  THIS RECORD IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND WITH ALL THE 1ST PRESS DETAILS GIVEN ABOVE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MEGA RARE STEREO (MOST 1ST PRESSINGS WERE MONO)!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN BRILLIANT CONDITION!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1967 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' ORANGE CBS LABELS, 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS CBS INNER SLEEVE, 1ST PRESS A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS, AND 1ST PRESS LAMINATED 1ST PRESS COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL CBS UK 1st pressing from 1967 and is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl.  The Cat. No is SBPG 63241 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press 'Textured' CBS label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK Stereo 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  Most of these 60s/70s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, only 1 MEGA light scuffline, only 1 absolutely TINY surface mark, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED LOOK!!!!  It is also great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with only a very VERY few light clicks/pops (from the TINY surface mark mentioned above), NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!!  The record must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!!  I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 'Earliest' 1st Press CBS inner sleeve!!!!  The 1st Press Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, only VERY light spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, NO rubbing, and NO grubbyness!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A 100% GENIUNE 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
