Description
This was Leonard's 8th studio album and represented an evolutionary leap forward in his style, from simplistic singer/songwriter to more complex arrangements and musicianship. Leonard also stated in an interview that he felt with "I'm Your Man" he had hit full stride regarding the voice he wanted to represent his music. Released in 1988 it includes hits "First We Take Manhattan", "Everybody Knows" and "Ain't No Cure For Love". For the Leonard Cohen fan, this album is a must. Leonard Cohen 9/21/34-11/7/16 ... R.I.P. The vinyl is NM. Under halogen it takes a lot of searching to find the smallest of hairlines, no scuffs, no warp. The jacket is solid with mild ring wear and light compression at the bottom corners. The record was always stored with inner sleeve opening facing up inside the jacket to protect the vinyl. It was only played on a high end turntable, tonearm, and cartridge combination. The recording quality of this LP is exceptional.
