THIS IS AN EXTRA RARE RECORDING OF PROKOFIEV VIOLIN CONCERTO NO. 2.

IT COMES FROM EARLY '50'S SOVIET UNION AND IS INTERPRETED BY THE MOST SUCCESSFUL VIOLIN PLAYER TO EMERGE FROM SOVIET UNION (BORN IN UKRAINE).

THE RECORDING IS EXCELLENT, THE SOUND OF THIS RECORD ALSO IS EXCELLENT.

I'M NOT AWARE OF THIS PARTICULAR CONCERT BEING RECORDED BY KOGAN FOR EMI. SO HERE IT IS A CHANCE OF GETTING THE FIRST EVER KOGAN RECORDING OF PROKOFIEV 2ND CONCERTO.

SO, IS NOT PERFECT (UNFORTUNATELY!), BUT IS A COPY I CAN SAY IS EXCELLENT.

RECORD CONDITION:  RECORD LOOKS EXCELLENT  UNDER STRONG LIGHT - AND PLAYS EXCELLENT FOR A RECORD AROUND 60 YEARS OLD! 

COVER CONDITION:   ONLY FEW VERY SMALL TEARS AT OPENING  BACK COVER (2-3 mm DEEP) AND ONE ON FRONT COVER TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE SPLINE - SEE PICTURES

EXCELLENT: RECORD: Some signs of being played with extremely little if no loss of sound quality;

                          COVER: Slight wear.

VERY GOOD:  RECORD: Obviously been played with noticeable surface marks & the occasional light scratches but exhibits no major loss of sound quality.

                            COVER: Noticeable wear, with possible slight writing or stains.

GOOD: RECORD: Record has been played and has very noticeable surface marks & exhibits major loss of sound quality.

              COVER: Noticeable wear. Much writing/ stains.
