LEROY VINNEGAR Glass Of Water SIGNED LGS-1001 Original Pressing Vinyl Rare Jazz

Who has a SIGNED, original pressing, stereo copy of Jazz bass legend, Leroy Vinnegar's, "Glass of Water" LGS-1001 (Legacy Records) 1973, vinyl record, featuring "Damn, Somebody Stole My Pants?" You can!  This is a rare beaut!

On the back side of the sleeve, on the left side, are signatures from 3 of 4 musicians that played on this historic first album from Leroy Vinnegar...(See photo #3) Leroy Vinnegar, Dwight Dickerson & Chuck Carter. Michel Barrere is credited on album as "Percussion" but his autograph does not appear. If I had to make an educated guess on the 4th signature, I would say its "Al Williams" who played with Leroy around this time. I do not have authentication of these autographs but I've seen Leroy's signature online and this definitely looks legit!

Let's talk condition:
VINYL:  VG+ - This album visually is stunning. There are no scuffs, marks, surface scratches or any other surface spots. The vinyl is flat as can be when spinning on the turntable. It is bright, full of luster and sheen. The sound of the album is fantastic. It is crisp, clear and sharp especially on side 2 when musically Leroy and the boys really take off. There are no skips, bumps or jumps from the moment you put needle down on side one to last track on side 2. You can detect some very light noise and very slight popping when you first put the needle on the record. You do hear it on occasions during the light moments of the music. This is consistent with a 44 year old vinyl record. I do not own a album cleaning machine but I gave the album a few, good surface cleanings. A thorough cleaning should mitigate these light dust pops.

SLEEVE:VG+ - The sleeve is structurally very sound and strong. All 4 corners are sharp and square. All 4 spines are nearly immaculate with no flaking, chipping or dings. The writing on the spine is completely, perfectly intact and legible. There are no creases on either side of front or back cover. The album cover does have brownish looking spots on the front cover. It look like it got hit with a big mist of water and then not dried off immediately. Check out photo #7 for a close-up. Also photo #1 for the complete look at the cover. From the research I've done on this album, the old original versions of the sleeve are a darker color almost faded looking white color. The newer versions are stark white. This version is the older, original pressing darker version.
