Canadian Talent Library  S-5124, 1969 original issue 1st pressing (Canada) Stereo

Recorded late in 1969 and released early in 1970, this is the rare original issue (1st pressing) stereo version of Les Contretemps' debut release (of just 2 career LP's).

Their second (and last) LP "Cho-Fret" was released 2 years later on Radio Canada (featured at the excellent blog PatrimoinePQ:  HERE).   ....Both LP's are quite rare.

Their self-titled debut LP was released in both mono (CTL-1124) and stereo (S-5124) versions, initially on the Canadian Talent Library label, and it was later re-issued on the more common GRT label (stereo only).

Great college-folk, folk-rock and folk psych in the style of Quebec artists like Les Alexandrins, Coeur d'une Géneration, Les Cailloux and La Nouvelle Frontière.

Monique Desroches,  Pierre Rochette,  Michel Claveau,  Pierre Angers,  Fabienne Desroches and Roseline LeBel.

* Pierre "Pierrot" Rochette recorded an obscure LP in 1974 and went on to co-found Montreal's mythic folk-cabaret "Les Deux Pierrots"
