Description
"L'orchestre les Kinois" were an outstanding guitar based Zaire band who moved to Uganda and Nairobi, where they recorded this scarce album for the Kenyan AIT label (catalog number WLP/3LK) in 1978 and later had some pan-African hits including "Malako". Vinyl EX+, has a few essentially non-sounding light marks inflicted by the pressing plant, played only a few times but not the greatest pressing quality, cover shows some light storage wear but no splits, writing tears etc. Rare!
All records cleaned on a professional vacuum cleaning machine and visually and aurally inspected. Strict grading, condition guaranteed and records properly packaged by experienced collector - please see my buyer feedback for praise for conservative grading.

SHIPPING COSTS:All records are shipped in extra-sturdy, oversize heavy cardboard mailers for maximum protection. In these mailers, a single lp weighs over 500 grammes. Swiss postal rates have NOT gone up, but the dollar has lost a lot of its value in relation to the franc as well as the euro and the Swiss post office is very strict about weight. The cost of mailing priority air from 501-1,000 grammes is 21 CHF, or 16.50 dollars for Europe, and 33 CHF or 26 dollars for the rest of the world. Non-priority (air, not surface, but much slower, can take 7-10 days for Europe, 3-4 weeks for the rest of the world but often much faster) is CHF 12 (10$) for Europe and CHF 18 (14.50$) for the rest of the world. For buyers outside Europe, I would recommend this last option. I gladly combine records for shipping with multiple purchases The charge for packages weighing from 1001 to 2000 grammes are, priority: 32 CHF (25$) for Europe, 45 CHF (35$) for the rest of the world, non-priority is 21 CHF (16.50) for Europe, 32 CHF (25$) for the rest of the world.(THESE ARE ACTUAL COSTS, AT CURRENT EXCHANGE RATES, THERE ARE NO SPURIOUS HANDLING CHARGES, BUT PLEASE BEAR THE COST OF SHIPPING IN MIND WHEN YOU BID. In the past I have stated that I will not ship items except through registered mail, in view of the huge increase in postage costs due to the decline of the dollar I will no longer be firm on this, but I do recommend it and I will NOT assume responsibility for unregistered items! This is to protect the buyer as much as myself. It only costs 6$ to register a package and insure it up to CHF 150 or ca. 125 US$ with the Swiss postal system, this provides a tracking number and guarantees against theft, loss or damage, additional insurance for more expensive items can also be purchased at additional shipping costs. Those who decline to register their parcel must clearly state so in writing with their payment.
Thanks for looking, more rare jazz, world and classical vinyl listed.
