Les Paul and Mary Ford - 20 x 78rpm records
I inherited these from a relative about 15 years ago. I bought myself a nice Rega 78 turntable (also for sale) to play them on and have enjoyed them immensely, but I no longer have the space for them or the player.
If you're looking for mint condition records then this auction is not for you; all the covers are very tatty, as you can see from the photos. However, if you wanted to gain most of their big hits in one purchase then this might well be a good auction for you.
The records themselves vary enormously, from very well worn to not too bad. I have recently played every single on to record them on to a cd and although there is plenty of surface noise on a lot of them, they do all play without skipping, so there are no deep, nasty scratches or cracks.
They are a mixture of Les Paul and Mary Ford and Les Paul solo (the instrumental tracks) and The Les Paul Trio. Most are on Capitol Records, some are on Brunswick Records. If anyone wants to know specific record numbers then feel free to ask.
They will be sent very well packed. I work in a warehouse sending out glass items on a regular basis so am well versed in packing fragile items.
