Description
LESTER YOUNG AND HIS TENOR SAX-ALBUM #706 1953 ALADDIN RECORDS 10" LP IN A SOLID VG(cover)-EXC. VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! Here we have a very rare 10" lp from the extraordinary tenor sax player Lester Young. Highly sought after and for very good reason, amazing playing from a one of a kind saxophone player. He died in 1959 well short of his potential. We are all lucky to have the recordings that we do.
Here's the track list and then I will go on to a detailed description of the record:
Side 1: Easy Does It / No Eyes Blues / East Of The Sun And West Of The Moon / Jumping At The Woodside
Side 2: Just Cooling / One O'clock Jump / S.M. Blues / Jumpin' At Mesner's
The record is in an easy VG+ condition having very mild surface wear(a tiny and very light hairline on each side that does not hamper play at all, plays well throughout with a minimum of surface noise). The inner labels are pretty clean although around the hole is very mild wear. Ok, now for the cover; I graded it a VG because although shiny, there is some aging areas both front and back, especially on the mostly white background of the back cover(see pictures to see what I mean). There is mild wear along the edges and minor rubs on the corners. There was no original inner sleeve. An awesome buy for the fan or collector of all things jump blues of the early 50's!!
