LESTER YOUNG And His Tenor Sax Volume 2 Aladdin LP 802 1st Pressing DG Misprint Cover 1956
You're bidding on a Very Rare 1st Pressing Album titled LESTER YOUNG and His Tenor Sax Volume II issued on
a 12" LP by Aladdin Records in October 1956. First Pressing LP's had Deep Groove Blue Labels with Silver Print.
Second Pressings were on a Maroon colored label. Vol.1 LP 801 and Vol. 2 LP 802 were issued simultaneously
which may explain the misprint mistake on the covers. First Pressing Vol.1 covers have the track listing for Vol.2
on the back and Vol.2 covers have the track listing for Vol.1 on the back. These mistakes were corrected on later
issues but a true 1st Pressing will have the artwork and number 801 Vol.1 on the front and back with 802's track
listing and a Vol.2 LP inside. The Record is in VG+ condition with No deep scratches, just some surface lines and
marks. Sound is very good with No groove wear distortion but Side 1 plays with some static while Side 2 plays
more quietly. The Cover is in VG+ condition with light rub marks, ring wear and dings in the corners and some
dirt but No splits.
