GRADING
VINYL
MINT is an LP that has very recently been  produced, is still sealed and is flawless

NEAR MINT (NM) is the more common 
highest possible grade and includes unopened, 
long ago produced and still pristine LPs

EXCELLENT (EXC) is very clean -- there may
 be a few light marks but not audible scratches

VERY GOOD (VG) allows surface marks  that do not seriously impair listening.

GOOD (G) is not good at all and the item will likely be
extremely scarce to merit bringing it to your attention


  GRADING  SLEEVE/COVER
MINT  is recently produced and flawless                
NM  shows extremely minor flaws

EXC allows scuffs, loss of gloss, slight discoloration,  scuffing -- visible signs of some moderate deterioration                
VG  includes splits, surface tears after 
removal of price tags, heavier ring wear

G  again, hopefully a moot point 

GRADING IS MOST OFTEN VISUAL AND AT TIMES AUDIAL
