• Let Them Eat Jellybeans, 17 Extracts From Americas Darker Side. • 17 track vinyl compilation LP on Alternative Tentacles Records in the UK. This is the very first pressing of the record. VIRUS 4. • This is one of the most important North American punk compilations ever! It is out of print and only available on vinyl! Jacket sows a touch of wear, but vinyl is ultra-glossy and in pristine condition. Original fold-out poster is included. Beautiful AT logo in black on white label. Rarely seen this way. This is a must for Alternative Tentacles Records collectors! Inner non-audio grooves contain interesting etched statements. Check my other listings for hard-to-find records by many of the bands on this LP. • It was one of the earliest compilations of underground music in the United States. The first side of the LP features songs by a number of bands that formed the canon of American hardcore punk in the 1980s, while the second side features more of an art rock sound. • At least two of the cuts on the punk side of the album have never been issued in the same form heard on Let Them Eat Jellybeans. • The version of Black Flag's "Police Story" heard on ...Jellybeans was recorded during the sessions for the Six Pack EP and features Dez Cadena on lead vocals, although the album's insert features the then-current Damaged-era lineup with Henry Rollins.
