Description

HERE'S "BABY" ROSE MARIE, in 1938, at the very tail end of her "Baby" career, crooning two current hits:  "LET'S BREAK THE GOOD NEWS" and "WHEN THE MOON BIDS THE SUN GOODNIGHT."  


She's growing up, no longer a "baby," really, but a lovely, budding young lady of 15, singing in a more "mature" style.  Even so, she still waxes plenty jazzy in the second chorus of "Good News" !


This would be Rose Marie's last record before she embarked on the comedy career that flourished in the '40s and '50s, peaking in 1961-65 as "Sally Rogers" on "The Dick Van Dyke Show."   


This original 1938 "Staff" Bluebird B-7530 is in sparkling EE+ condition.
