Description

Up for grabs is a rare Oz 60s surf instrumental lp by The Denvermen. Original mono copy on RCA label (cat #  L101537). Although there had been several other instrumental released by Australian artists before, this lp is regarded as Australia's first true "surf" album with surfing cover art, surf related song titles and liberal lashing of reverb/echo/tremolo! I love the pic of the band on the back cover with all of their gear.....which as the notes say was worth over £3.800 at the time!
Would rate cover as (G-). Showing it's age, but the awesome cover art still prevails! Photos tell the story....sticky tape repairs to bottom and seam, unrepaired splits on top seam. Misc edge/corner/shelf/ring wear. Misc tears, creases, spots, marks etc.
Vinyl is (G+). Retains most of its original gloss. Has several light surface scratches/scuffs. Plays with light background noise and some light pops/ticks. Still a reasonable playing copy!
Labels are both (VG+). Numerous light spindle marks but otherwise clean.
This is a hard to find record in any condition. Still a good playing copy or would look awesome on the wall of the beach shack!
