“LET’S PRETEND” 1940’S FAIRY TALES RADIO PROGRAM ON 33 1/3 RPM

 

A FAVORITE SATURDAY MORNING PROGRAM BACK IN THE 1940’S. [This series is a 1970 re-make of the originals.]  8 of the most popular radio dramatizations of the best-loved of classic fairy tales. These wholesome adventures will nourish a child’s imagination, flower into an aptitude for learning, a love of good books and an incentive for achievement.

The jacket artwork by David Chestnut is beautifully executed and could well be framed for a series of pictures in a child room.

On a 1973 trip we took to FL [from NY] -- expecting chaos in a car with our 4 active children--we played the tapes we had

made of these recordings. They were that entranced with the stories that they were quiet to hear every word. The

tapes lasted until we reached our destinatation and the children wanted to hear them again on the way home, such is the quality of the dramatizations. Peace and quiet from FL to NY!
