LIGHTNIN HOPKINS
Blue Lightnin
(Jewel 5000, Mono, 1965)
This is an original Mono first pressing from 1965 w/ matching mono cover - w/ small turquoise label with black print. Thick inflexible vinyl.
The stereo pressing of this record came out two years later with a different cover - this mono first press is much harder to find. Especially in this condition.
Condition: Cover: a nice VG+, overall very nice with good original gloss, no seam splits, tears, writing or stickers. Some minor edge and corner shelf wear. one creased corner. A bit of ringwear on the front (none on the back). a couple small yellow moisture stains on the back, and one on the top seam front. Not very noticeable. Vinyl: NM, clean glossy vinyl w/ no marks and no spindle marks. Some label age discoloration.
We recently purchased a large, well taken care of collection of blues and jazz LPs and 78s from the 40-70s. We will be auctioning a portion of these - and selling the rest via set sale and in the shop.

A Note on Packing: We pack our records carefully in sturdy new boxes and we use cardboard inserts.
Return Policy: If you are unhappy with your item - let us know. This doesn't happen often, but when it does we take it seriously. You can return it for full credit within seven days of receiving the item.
RECORD GRADING
We grade conservatively, and aim to describe the records accurately. We grade visually according to Goldmine standards, with the addition of an Excellent (VG++ or E)grade for the hazy grey area between Near Mint and VG+. This grade applies to records with one minor flaw that makes it no longer Near Mint, but still above VG+.
