Description
I am parting with some of my treasured LPs. Here's a stereo copy of Lightning Hopkins Autobiography in Blues on the Tradition/Everest label circa 1960. I bought this LP in beautiful NM condition, and it has been in my collection for many years receiving gentle and careful play on my finely engineered turntable. The LP plays beautifully, and still retains the gloss and shine as if it was brand new. The cover front and back retain their original colors, and the white is not faded or discolored on either side. The original inner has a corner fold to protect the LP, and it is as it was upon opening. This LP is not often seen in the stereo version, and I quite like the sound. The performance is amazing, and it should be noted that this LP was recorded the same year that he also recorded Mojo Hand, one of his most revered and sought after records. There is a very small red pen marking on the back of the cover on the lower right. Many would grade this LP as MINT, however I always feel that once an LP is open and played it is inherently NEAR MINT.
I love original original pressings because I feel every LP is of it's time and place. The vinyl, and record pressings are all from that moment in time, and no re-pressing or re-mastering will ever make the sound better for me.
PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER LPS FOR SALE NOW ON EBAY. I AM POSTING SOME TREASURES. SOME ARE RARE AND COLLECTIBLE, AND OTHERS ARE JUST GREAT ALBUMS LIKE THIS ONE IS.
