1942 Blues release on BLUEBIRD in EXCELLENT EE++ condition w/ SLEEVE and it is LIL GREEN with BIG BILL BROONZY guitar, SIMEON HENRY piano, RANSOM KNOWLING string bass on Broonzy's "LET'S BE FRIENDS - Blues" and "I'M GOING TO START A RACKET" on this 10" 78 rpm BLUEBIRD B-8895 -- please see photos -- with original Bluebird sleeve.
"I'm Going to Start a Racket" was recorded in Chicago on 23 July 1941 by Lil Green (vocal), Simeon Henry (piano), Big Bill Broonzy (guitar) and Ransom Knowling (string bass).
The excellent rhythm & blues performance is led by Simeon Henry's jazzy piano at midtempo, Broonzy delivering a gentle guitar break as Lil confidently declares that from now on she is going to be a self-assured woman, and get the fine things in life and a string of men on her arm.
"Let"s Be Friends" is slow to midtempo piano led R&B, with a gentle jazzy score and a jazzy guitar break.
This record will be securely shipped in a new 12x12x4 box sandwiched between cardboard stiffeners and floating in a paper fill.
