Hello, fellow music fiends!

Up on the block today is a fantastic copy of the psych/folk treasure Parallelograms by Linda Perhacs. This record was truly ahead of its time, anticipating today's "freak folk" movement by some thirty or so years! Intoxicating, crystalline, and wildly inventive, it's a work that exists almost independently of its era. The dang thing is timeless.

This is an original Kapp stereo pressing, KS3636. It's a promo, so the top right corner is clipped, and there's a stamp in the top left corner of the back cover that says "SAMPLE COPY." While we're on the subject of the cover, the top four-fifths of it is beautiful. Lovely color, hardly any wear. The bottom fifth seems to have sustained some water damage, which I tried to illustrate in close-up photos included with this auction. The damage resulted in some slight browning of the bottom fifth of the cover (more noticeable on the back than on the front), some seam-splitting on the bottom (little cracks, not a big long split), and some wrinkling on the back. I rated it G+ in my listing just to be safe, but I feel it's a bit better than that...

The LP is in beautiful shape. On principle, I don't rate things NM or M, but this would be a contender for that designation. I played it on my turntable (a Music Hall MMF-2.2) and while there were occasional crackles, they sounded like dust/dirt. No major scuffs that I could tell by listening. A good cleaning with a vacuum machine and this thing would SING.
