Description
Released on the Motown Record Company label in 1992, catalogue number 530 018-1, Back To Front is a double LP set of Lionel Richie's greatest hits, recorded by him as both a solo artist and when he was with the Commodores. This particular version of this album i am selling is the one that was made in Holland for the European market and features 2 extra tracks. This is an extremely rare and hard to find double album as most people in the early 90's were buying CDs rather than vinyl and so not that many copies of this album were manufactured and sold.
I cannot stress enough how great a condition both of the records are in. The vinyl is in absolutely superb, near mint/as near new condition as you could get. Both records play perfectly giving a great, clear sound without any jumps, skips, pops, crackle or background noise to be heard. The only thing that is stopping me from describing the records as being in absolutely perfect, as new condition is that when you pivot them in bright light, a very small number of extremely feint, light hairline marks are just about visible, most probably caused when the records have been placed back in their sleeves, but these are so feint/light they in no affect the playing of the records and you really do have to strain your eyes to see them. The labels on both sides of each record are in perfect, as new condition without any damage to them.
The records come housed in 2 thick, paper sleeves which have the lyrics to all of the songs found on the albums printed on them. One sleeve is in perfect, as new condition, the other one although in excellent condition, just has a couple of folds/creases in the upper corner, caused from when it has been placed back in the main album cover. The main, outer album sleeve/cover is in excellent condition with no serious wear and tear showing. All the titling going down the spine of the sleeve is in perfect condition. If i am being very critical there is an approx. 2" very light crease along the very bottom right corner on the front of the sleeve but this in no way detracts from the sleeve. On the rear of the sleeve, going down where the track listing is for record two, if you pivot the sleeve in the light you can see an indent saying "TO PATRICIA" caused when somebody wrote this on a piece of paper whilst placed on the album sleeve but again, this doesn't detract from the sleeve and isn't that noticeable. I can honestly say, anybody looking to own a copy of this album would really struggle to find one in better condition.
