Description
1983 USA pressed release (Varese Sarabande records STV 81181). Very scarce on vinyl back in 1983, I found this one used in Chicago in the mid 90's & the only copy I've ever seen in a used bin, very weird/strange movie, very harsh synths in the soundtrack, no other soundtrack sounds like this one before or since,. it was an influence on Electroclash when it surfaced in the mid 2000's.
"Although the film is loosely centered around early 1980s punk subculture, the film's score uses a series of strident synthesizer music pieces. The music was composed by Slava Tsukerman, Clive Smith and Brenda Hutchinson using the Fairlight CMI. Most of it was original, but included interpretations of Baroque composer Marin Marais's Sonnerie de Ste-Geneviève du Mont-de-Paris, Carl Orff's Trionfo di Afrodite, and Anthony Philip Heinrich's Laurel Waltz. All of these were orchestrated in a series of ominous, dissonant arrangements and nightmarish marches."

CONDITION: The record might be unplayed (no spindle marks on the label sides) but has a dusting of the original plastic innersleeve which is now releasing chemicals on it (dusting it, no permanent damage, will add a new sleeve) will clean it on my Nitty Gritty cleaner before it ships. Cover is VG+ with edgewear & overall sleevewear.All records are BLACK VINYL unless noted & inserts/gate-fold covers/posters/custom inner sleeves will be noted in the description if they are included plus promo & cut-out marks stated if they are there also. I don't believe in hiding stuff & try to note most everything that should matter to buyers. All 12" vinyl on ebay is automatically listed as 33 1/3 rpm & 7" vinyl as 45 rpm (to save time on listing all this stuff) if you need to confirm speed on a specific item please ask & I can go check.
