I'd love to know the story behind this unique piece of history, which is dated Sunday, April 14, 1957.
This is pretty much the same song, done by two very different-sounding doowop groups... apparently on the same day.
The label reads "rock + roll" on the Royal Dukes side, and "modern sound" on the Knights' side.
This acetate turned up just a few weeks ago in a small Central Florida town, but I have no idea where these groups were from.
Any ideas, anyone?
